STREETALERT
StreetAlert is a Synthesis web application that helps drivers avoid getting ticketed on street-cleaning days. The key concept behind StreetAlert is that users enter the address of where their cars are parked; later, they receive a text message reminding them to move their car for street cleaning.
The StreetAlert interface is very simple. There is a page for users to enter the streets where they park, another page for updating user profiles, and a basic text message reminder sent a day prior to the street's scheduled cleaning. Currently, the StreetAlert technology is fully implemented for our city of Cambridge; we're working to launch it both publically and on a greater scale. Stay tuned!
